Some of you might find this post insufferable but bear with me. Timeframe is 3 months.

There's this girl , she's hot and fun to be around. But she's in a long term / long distance relationship. I've finally realised I'm beta orbiting (something I've never done before) her and she knows it but she doesn't really know how to deal with the situation. She's too agreeable to kick me to the curb but isn't the type of person to keep an orbiter for the attention (not that I give her much).

I would like to date her in the end but I don't mind, I have other girls and tinder and things are going fairly well for me. we both go to the same sports club so it's not like I'm gonna fly off into the galaxy if I disengage entirely. And if I don't get her, well that's not what I want but whatever. But is it possible that I don't have to disengage at all?

I realise most of this is motivated by "you want what you can't have" but that's just how I'm wired I guess.
