I have 3 cats and everytime I have someone over, it's apparent that I am the leader of the pack. The show great affection towards me, and pretty much ignore everyone else.

You can actually use this because contrast generates tingles too. Like you are that emotionally distant alpha who she is still figuring out and then she sees you petting your animals with the greatest level of gentleness.

Makes her wonder... "maybe I can get him to open up to me too"

I don't think it's a beta activity, per se, but I do believe it's a great waste of opportunity.

I have met a lot of guys who can't jump on a travel option with me -- or a business option -- because their damned animal "kids" need to be shoved in a kennel or taken care of.

I'll have a dog or cat when I'm retired.
