A common defence they use is that I wouldn't like if they were doing it.

Are they right?

As long as your ok with her doing it except the guys she adds on facebook are all gonna wanna be trying to bend her over the toilet seat in the nearest restroom. If that doesn't bother you then continue business as usual

It's not an issue if you don't see it as one. Women will constantly make things an issue if you let them, just laugh it off and show them how ridiculous it is or the fact it's a facebook request. Obviously if a woman does this she is insecure and needs boundaries set. It's mate guarding but it's also pathetic.

It is mate guarding.

They get to do that, you don't though. It's a funny dynamic.

When she tells you you should not, she is validating your attractiveness and pre selection, but if you comply, you're on a thin blade between giving her power and passing the comfort test.
When you tell her she can't, you're validating her attractiveness for other men, which shouldn't be bad in itself, but when you tell her she can't, you're lowering your value for her by being weak.

My ex energetically bashed me if a girl touched me, and when drunk, got touchy with some guys.
When I called her on it, she would say it was not flirting. To call ME on it, she would do it in front of someone that supported her "off limits" view.
