Hey all. I am a 28 yo male and I have a couple of things I'd like to discuss/ask/vibe on. First issue is something I've been having a problem with on first dates, and that is breaking the touch barrier. I always have thoughts about how I should be breaking the barrier while I'm on dates and feel like I either don't do it at all because I feel like the situation doesn't call for it and she will get turned off from me, or I go for it but it doesn't come off as natural, which is almost worse it feels like. Any thoughts on this issue are appreciated.

I actually have a bonus question about texting: I'm pretty familiar with basic texting etiquette but have stumbled into a situation that I'm not really sure how to approach. Normally when I ask a woman out I try to either get it happening that same night or within a couple of days because I know that having too much time waiting to meet up and just texting back n forth basically kills the spark. Likewise, not talking at all for too long of a time period has the same effect. Normally when I ask a girl out and she says something like "Oh man, I'm not around that day. Maybe another time though" I just take the hint and move on. But I asked this girl out (27yo) today for drinks on friday (I'm not around until then so it was the earliest day I could shoot for) and she said she cant this weekend because she's moving, but offered up a replacement day next weekend. Good sign. But given the texting basics I just mentioned, I'm not sure how to approach texting this girl.
