Ever since I was a kid, I've always talked fast. I don't know why really, it's not like I think I have to "get it all out there or they'll ignore me", I never have that go through my head. It's just much easier to talk at what I perceive to be a normal rate of speech. (It's funny - when I try to slow it down it comes out "normal" but to me it sounds like a record player losing power, haha).

Anyway, could this be lowering female attraction toward me? Do they judge somebody based on how fast they talk, or is it an automatic/instinct thing that lowers their attraction for the guy in question?

Could this also hurt my employment prospects? Anyone know of a stereotype for fast-talking people? Anyone who's ever met me knows I'm not at all dishonest, I stand by what I say and do what I say I'm going to do. I'm quite affable, normally confident, and I get along well with just about everybody.

I just want to know if my rate of speech is harming me somehow. Any thoughts?
