In the west there is a long tradition of associating people of color, especially black Africans, with sex. I can't speak much for non american examples, but in America the idea of black people having animalistic sex drives was used both to stoke fear of black men raping white women and to excuse white men raping their black slaves. In the 21st century elements elements of these stereotypes survive and so black people have basically become sex symbols. There is also some element of taboo about interracial relations, which compliments the taboo that sex still is in American culture. It might be somewhat different for Europe but I suspect some elements are in common.
