Hi TRP,

I'm in a difficult situation right now where chronic pain and health problems have taken over my life.

Unfortunately when a small problem is allowed to marinate for 10 years , it complicates your life a lot and it becomes 15 problems. Fortunately, I can can solve a lot of problems at once by taking drastic action.

I've come up with a detailed plan to turn things around, but one aspect which I've neglected a lot in my recovery is my inability to maintain frame with people in my entourage; friends, parents, and sometimes doctors.

Each of these people has become either difficult to recruit on my mission to wellness. They are constantly degrading or interfering with anything I try in terms of diet, routine, surgery, medication or otherwise.

I feel like I'm kind of in a George Costanza "opposite" world right now. I need to do a lot of weird shit that makes no fucking sense on a surface level, but is the logical course of action. Some examples

  • trying the Carnivore Diet
  • having major shouting matches to establish that I won't stand for passive, casual disrespect or interference
  • opting for experimental surgeries
  • trying drugs that may be addictive
  • sleeping and working at weird times to try to improve my productivity and avoid brain fog

Some of these things might be stupid - but they are candidate solutions to my problems that must, at the very least, be tested and ruled out. My pattern of "avoiding risk" and "avoiding conflict" is the greatest danger of all.

tl-dr; I need to bend, but not break the people who are closest to me. I need them to keep me in check when I'm doing risky or stupid things and not be opposing and demoralizing me constantly.
