something tells me you should stick with nonverbal queues, flirting is very culture based, shit can fail from region to region and from as little as a 5 year old generational gap in the same culture.

the safe way: Be alpha, be dominant, own the frame, take care of them(not in a needy way) and see if they respond and giggle at that. If they are DTF they will find a way to get you alone.

(there is a huge difference between anime girls and live ones, and to make your job even shitier just like western women have a feminist persona, they have a anime girl persona, good luck but keep your fantasies to yourself and handle them like any other woman)

I have heard about how Japanese girls behave from a friend that spent some time there. Japanese girls are very warm, friendly, open and curious. They do smile and giggle a lot and show their excitement readily, but that's just how their society is. My friend said that he would go out clubbing with his Japanese friends and he would be mobbed by cute girls giggling over him and wanting to know all about him. He thought he was going to get his dick worshiped like a king, but after being shot down several times trying to escalate, his friends told him what was up - after they watched him make a fool of himself and had some laughs at his expense.

Japanese girls also differ from other cultures because they aren't driven by the need to get married, find a boyfriend or even hook up with randoms like American girls are. They are perfectly content to have fun and do their own thing. I do agree with the other poster who said that if they are interested in you, they will step up their game - just be sure it's not them being nice or expressing genuine curiosity.

In my experience when you don't speak the language use more kino: Instead of push/pull with words lightly shove them away then pull them closer; pick them up; grab them by the hand; take them to a loud club where talking isn't important.

Also get them to teach you a couple of phrases in japanese.
