I'm currently reading The Rational Male, and it's the first time in years that I'm breezing through a book so easily, thanks to Tomassi. One thing that confuses me about one advice he gives, that men should be more emotionally reserved, is that it doesn't specify whether negative or positive emotions should be reserved, or both.

I'm confused because, in my experience, girls like it when you're in a jolly mood. It makes not only girls, but men as well want to hang out with you more.

It makes sense though, that no one wants to be around a depressed, unconfident guy.
