Acquaintance I haven’t yet smashed reached out after a time to catch up.

We tried to arrange drinks. Didn’t work out due to scheduling. I just didn’t care - I had already wasted time sending logistical messages back and forth and deaded it in my head.

She sends me a NYE party invite on facebook. I ignore it bc I had other plans.

Couple days ago she reaches out, apologizes for being flaky the first time. Wants to get drinks in the next few days.

I don’t have time and suggest mid week next week - just the days, didn’t specify time of day.

She comes back with a lunch suggestion. I’m tempted to permanently next now, but am considering recommending drinks in response.

In my mind, drinks > lunch for a potential lay. Lunch feels “friendsy”. That could be misguided thinking. She could also have been wanting to get drinks in the next few days because she’s in the “fuck me” zone of her fertility cycle, so it could’ve been logistical and I missed the window.

Curious as to you gents’ thoughts/experiences with mid-work week lunches with a chick you haven’t yet been with leading to sex.
