I moved to a new city back in January, I'm not in university or high school at the moment (working 50 hours a week and studying courses online so I can apply to become a fighter pilot in the Canadian Air Force) but I've made some friends who are in high school.

As a background, I did a year of university last year, spent the past four years in Australia (I'm Canadian) and am in good shape, have my own car (a nice American classic) and generally have my shit together.

When I met my neighbor, who's in grade eleven, I was interested and decided to try and game her. That was a failure, then I met a girl at work, we went on one date but it didn't work out, now I'm texting a girl from my friends' school.

I realize that texting/snapchat is the worst mode of communication, but I always talk to the girl for about two days and then try to make in-person plans - I make it very clear that I'm interested in a date and am very bold about it (I don't just want to 'chill').

For some reason, I've been having very little success. Here's an insight into one of these conversations:

Her: So what are you doing? Me: Oh, I'm just driving to work now. Her: Wait, really? Now? (It was 10:30pm, I work night shifts) Me: Yeah, I work full time nights and part time some days at American Eagle Her: Wow that's crazy, I could never do that Me: If you think that's crazy, I take 18 hours a week of classes on top of that! Her: Wow, your life is so interesting Her: What do you study? Me: Oh, it's top secret. I can't tell you. Her: Oh come on, why not? Me: Tell you what, let me take you out for a drive and I'll tell you all about it! Her: bullshit about how she isn't free until mid-July Me: S, if I can make time while I work 50 hours a week and go to school, I'm pretty sure you can clear one afternoon Her: Haha okay yeah you're right, I think I'm free Saturday.

She didn't end up being free Saturday, I texted in the morning to confirm. She was really apologetic about not being able to come and promised we would do it another time.

Obviously I can tell that she just isn't interested, and to be honest I couldn't care less at this point. It's just annoying because I have my shit together and I have good game (in person) but I can't seem to set up a date. Am I doing something wrong?
