A plate of mine flaked on me today, and we reschedule for thursday instead.

I read some posts on here saying that if dates are scheduled a lot days in advance, you have to send some feeler text maybe the day prior. Is this really true? If yes, how would such a text look like?
Or do i just on thursday go with the submarine method of "Sorry, ill be 10 minutes late"?
