Hey Reddit,

So I need some advice about earning more money and I thought I'd ask the one community of guys who I know can get shit done and give straightforward answers.

I discovered the red pill about a year ago, but only recently started applying the principles.

Long story short, I'm 25 and still living at home. I work in a call centre in the Security Industry (3.5 years now). I don't have a degree or tertiary education other than graduating high school.

And while it is a call centre, it is the call centre division of a very large and very successful corporate security firm in my country. So I get all the benefits of a corporate job.

I earn alright for my age and experience, but not enough to comfortably live on my own with all the accompanying expenses. Thus I can't really leave my parent's house.

I desperately want my own freedom and my own place to start living my life. Can't bring chicks home either so that's another reason I want my own place.

What could I do to increase my potential earnings? The corporate ladder is a bitch to climb (and a long climb at that) and it's also not something I want to do for the rest of my life.

My passion is writing (always wanted to be an author) and while I work on my writing on the side, I can't really earn money from it until I'm published (if I get published - unfortunately being an artist can be quite uncertain).

So I can't use my passion unless I want to be saddled with living under my parent's roof for another 5 - 10 years potentially. And climbing the corporate ladder could mean a potential few more years before I earn enough.

I'd like to be able to rent my own place in the next year or so.

What are some steps I could take to make this happen or at least a possibility?
