I'm an ugly dude and I did great on Tinder because I wasn't doing modeling shots, I had photos of me with hot women or doing athletic things that pretty boys rarely could do.

Stop worrying about your looks, troll. Start wondering what you're doing to make you less attractive in every other way.

Looks are everything when it comes to online dating because that's all they have to go by.

If you have the game and personality of a stop sign, Looks won't take you very far.

You can't change the face you were born with (without surgery), but you can definitely improve your appearance.

Understand that most men put minimal effort into their looks and hygiene. Even moderate steps will put you ahead of the pack. And if you go beyond that, I honestly believe that if a guy really, truly puts 100% effort into his looks he can be at least an 8/10.

Shredded, muscular physique (the most important)
Intensive skin care and hygiene
Optimization of hair (long vs short hair, beard vs clean shaven)
Tailored, stylish clothing
Minor details that make a huge difference (like whitened teeth, shaped eyebrows, shoe lifts, proper hydration for clear skin and eyes, etc)
You can even cater to a subculture (ex: skinny jeans for the hipsters)

Just add proper lighting and high quality photos. And even if all of this isn't enough to slay on Tinder, you'll at least be killing it in real life.
