My manager started micro-managing everything I do for the last three weeks, never before. He started using a formal rubric to ask silly fucking questions that he's not comfortable asking, and said he's using it because all his peers in the region are using it. I found out through his peers that they are not using it with their teams unless the associate is not performing well, or being managed out. My performance is stellar (if you're wondering). So he basically lied (I hate liars), and his approach/tone has been uncomfortable throughout our discussion. I'm going to tell him what's up this week, but looking for advise on how to approach this?
