I read a post a while back that it's good to approach strangers and having atleast a simple conversation. I was always a social person but I wouldn't really approach women I haven't met before especially around town at day.

Today I did. I had to renew my ID so I went to the public goverment building to do that, and outside the building was this hot blonde girl promoting for a telephone company. She approaches me to offer me a subscription which was a great deal by the way, and she realized through my accent that I was from abroad. She said she went to a university in my country and that she loved it there.

Anyway I went into the building and it had a long queue so I was in there for about an hour. I come out and she was still there, so without thinking I approach:

  • "Hey, still here?"
  • "Where else?, a girl has to earn a living"
  • "Do you take breaks? Finish your coffee with me outside"
  • "Sure, pick a spot with some shade, I'll be there in a minute"

So she comes and sits next to me at the bench and I introduce my self and we start talking. She tells me all about her going to university and how she liked it there etc and then my phone rings. I was expecting a call and I couldn't just ignore the call , because it would seem like loosing frame right? So I take the call and she then says I have to get back to work and leaves.

By the time I was finished she was talking with people (promoting her company) and I didn't feel like interupting or waiting around to approach again and ask for a number, so I left.

I feel great for approaching and even getting a possitive response. I guess her hanging out even for a few minutes was an IOI. But I now hate my self for not getting her number.
