I read a post on TRP about a year and a half ago. It was a story of a man going to some sort of community dinner to congratulate the rehabilitation of people who were homeless and now are back on their feet. The post explains that one man who had been helped by the organization gave a speech of his personal story where he became a drug addict, stole from people and was on the street for all his shitty behavior. Then everyone was cheering and happy for helping a guy who did everything wrong whereas the author was in a similar situation yet rather than becoming a detriment to society he grew some balls. The conclusion of the post is that people love to be seen cheering on the weak so that others may see them as good people.

Does anyone know this post?
