I’ve been plugged in for a few months now, and I can already see how my dad is the stereotypical blue pilled man. Seeing his lack of drive for self-improvement explains why my parent’s marriage is total shit, and why we have been in a financial rut for around 6 years now.

I did get him to start going to the gym with me, but when I ask him about building his career, he gets defensive saying how I’m just asking because I “want” him to buy me a car. For context I just finished freshman year at college, which my grandpa is paying for, and I absolutely need a car for next semester.I’m already working to save up money for food, and I cannot afford to buy the car myself. My dad also is extremely philosophical and religious, and frequently complains to me about not being able to get my mom to see his perspective on the meaning of life and religious matters.

In the meantime he works part time at a coffee shop barely bringing in enough for groceries each week, and does commissioned illustration projects on the side(he’s got a bachelors in art). To me, he seems more interested in discussing topics like, what does gods love mean, and how to be fully human, then fixing all the problems our family has.

It really hurts to see my moms growing disgust for my dad, how our family’s financial situation is going to limit my 3 younger siblings’ future opportunities, and how my dad is, as my mom puts it, in his own little world. Should I explain red pill principals to him and try to talk some sense in him? I know the number one rule of redpill is to not talk about it, but I don’t want my family to go to utter shit because of my dad’s bp mindset.
