Ok so girl I’ve only kiss closed is coming tomorrow to stay with me for the weekend. There’s a party I’m taking her to tomorrow but the whole plan was for her to go with me to the Indy 500 on Sunday, the party Friday night was added to the mix after the fact. I’m a guest of a big group and spots are hard to come by. Anyways she’s been in Europe for the past 2 weeks and we’ve been texting very sporadically (she was using European SIM) and even up till about a couple hours ago I can tell she’s excited to come visit. Then I get hit with this text about an hour ago.

“Hey I just am getting all my missed texts (from her American #). My friends mom texted me and said she’s trying to organize a surprise party for her on Sunday because she’s moving to NC the first of June. She’s one of my best friends and I would feel bad to miss it. But I told you I could come first. Would you care if I went to her going away party. You can totally say yes. I know you’ve probably got a lot planned for Sunday.”

Not sure how to respond. Seems genuine and she’s still coming up tomorrow to spend the night with me. The issue I have is that I’m a guest with this group to the race and it will look really really bad for me if I cancel last minute or show up with an unused spot. So not sure how to proceed?
