I had plans to go over to this girl's house tonight to "watch a movie". I haven't hooked up with her yet, but I was going to tonight. Before I left my place, she texted me that her brother(we're all college age) surprised her to visit.

She invited me to come hang out with them, but I had no interest in hanging out with her and her brother. I texted her saying that I wouldn't be coming. She then begged me to come hang out, promising that her brother was "fun".

I ended up not going over to her place, thinking that I wouldn't be able to effectively make any moves on her with her brother in the same room. And I didn't want to become some beta orbiter friend or something. I'm just curious if I handled this situation correctly or if there is anything I should have done differently.
