For whatever reason, women see me as someone to rescue them from a situation, or themselves. Broken, crazy women with messed up lives seek me like a magnet seeks a fridge. They see me as some kind of "order" to bring to their chaotic dysfunctional lives.

My last ex was bipolar. I kicked her out after it became too hard to deal with.

Two weeks later, I thought I found the perfect antidote: a younger woman who actually reads and agrees with TRP sentiment and professed to hate feminism. Perfect, right? No mentally ill feminists who let themselves get fat anymore. I'm 6'2, six figure job, and just bought my own town house in the prime district of a top 5 city. I deserve nothing less.

But now I find that she too has a chaotic, dysfunctional life with a family full of drug addicts. And she's self proclaimed irresponsible and says she needs "adult influence" whatever that means. At least there's no actual mental illness in this case (that I know of) and no prescription drugs. Yesterday, I found evidence she might sleep in her car a lot to escape dysfunctional family. And I also found out she did cocaine regularly till about a month ago. She dresses nice, has fantastic skin, 8/10 figure, and talks educated, so none of this was obvious before.

I am starting to fear the pattern will repeat again.

Thing is, I'm not particularly empathetic and generally not considered the best shoulder to cry on. I've actually never been friend zoned by someone I was interested in. Women seek other guys to tell their troubles to typically. I don't enjoy saving anyone. I kinda fall into the role. Women's view of me as a savior, in my case, almost always has sexual overtones. So some BP stereotypes for this sort of thing don't apply while some do.

My immediate plan is to see how things go and dump her immediately if I hear she's done drugs again.

For the future, I don't really get it. What is the name for what I'm describing, and how should I overcome it?
