Shit, dude. At least say "Hi, how's it going" if you can't think of anything more interesting. People put too much stock in coming up with some kind of zany "opener". Just talk with women like they're normal people (and like you're a normal person). That puts you ahead of half the guys out there already.

Most loser guys would just sit there awkwardly and not say anything to the girls and keep creepily staring up once in awhile until one of you left...wait a second...

Seriously, just start conversations with people. Most people don't talk to strangers in public. They just mess around with their phones to avoid eye contact. You actually talking to a girl might be the most interesting thing to happen to her all day.

And seriously, guys asking girls they meet for their numbers is perfectly normal and not creepy if you've had a conversation that went well and you hit it off.

Just talk to women like they're normal people. Not talking to women and just sort of sitting there makes it look like you're not a normal person.

Here's what you need to know about game:

You can tell in about 30 seconds whether a girl you talk to is interested. If she's blowing you off or answering everything you say with 1-2 word quips, you're wasting time chatting her up and just making things awkward by not taking that hint.

However, if you talk to a girl for a few minutes and she's still acting interested, you look like a weirdo if you don't take that hint and actually get her number.

Just talk to women like you would anyone else. You wouldn't force an awkward conversation with some dude, so don't keep chatting up and forcing a conversation on a woman if she's acting disinterested or things are awkward.

What's the worst that can happen? You small talk for about five minutes, then you have to go, so you say "Hey, you seem really nice. We should get a drink some time. Give me your number.", and she says, "Sorry, I'm not interested"? That's no big deal. So you shrug and say, "Okay, no problem. Well it was good talking to you" and go on about your day, and have sex with one of the ten other women you met the same way that night instead.

No real way to tell until you talk to them. Some girls will have bitch faces to scare away betas as their only method of shit testing, and when you approach this immediately goes away and they smile and talk. Others will act disinterested yet if you’re persistent and battle through the shit tests they’ll become engaged and flirt back with you. There is no real way to tell until you approach them and get chatting. At the start of most approaches I find girls tend to be a bit defensive for the first minute (I have read this is especially true in places like Russia) and after which they will start talking with happy abandon to you. As a rule of thumb I find if you’re talking for ~3 minutes and they’re still not reciprocating they’re probably not interested, so exit calmly and swiftly. It all depends on the girl.
