I have done cold approach in college mostly in library. It’s very awkward at first but you’ll improve a lot even on the first day. You get the best result when you act like a boss. If you are afraid prepare to get rejected. Always act like you know what you’re doing. My favorite cold approach is walking up to a girl who is on the phone and telling her to get off from the phone when she gets off the phone I tell her she is cute and wanna get to know her with supreme confidence. They love it.

This sounds like good practice, but I would go into each approach with very low expectations. Just like "Hey, I'm Rapp, whats your name? What are you doing at the mall today?"
