Yesterday I earned my first plate/FWB. After 5 months of TRP, this feels like a great accomplishment for me. Thanks for all the help guys.

So this is how it happened. I go to university, and met this girl through a mutual friend. We had hung out in a large group once before, and the second time it happened we made out and hit third base. After this, she asked me if I was "down for something more the next night". I agreed, went to her place, and sure enough, something more happened. There wasn't even any Netflix, straight to the chill. We get done, and she asks if I want to make this a regular thing, and I agree, but say that I'm not looking for a girlfriend or anything and that this is just physical. She says that's fine as long as we can actually be friends too. We then lay in bed naked and talk for about 20 minutes, then I say I have homework and need to leave. (This was a lie, but I didn't want to stay around too long afterward because I want her to know this is just sex.)

Obviously I'm not considering this girl for an LTR. I have no feelings for her, and she has plenty of red flags: gave up sex quickly, occasional party girl etc.

After leaving, I realized that I probably shouldn't have hung around and talked for 20 minutes. So here's my question. Was staying after sex a mistake at all? If so, how big? Also, just general plate advice. What are your do's and don'ts of plates?
