Throwaway for obvious reasons.

I'm currently in college and found out recently that I have HPV (genital warts showed up) which should go away and it's something apparently most people get except most of the time you would never know since often there are no symptoms. Doctor advised that I wouldn't really need to tell anyone since so many people get it.

Also, I took the whole gambit of STD tests while I was at the doctors, and found out I have Herpes (HSV-2) and never knew. I've never had any symptoms for it. I've only been with 6 girls and really have no idea who I got either of these from. From the research I've done, 1/5 people have Herpes, although something like 80% don't know they have it because of lack of symptoms and they just don't get tested.

Since I'm in college, and greek life, reputation is important. Doctor advised I wouldn't need to tell anyone if I didn't want to. I also don't want to be a dick and give a girl an STD. But if I do tell someone, it seems very likely it would get out and could be awful. Also, condoms do help protect against STD's, but they aren't fool proof.

So, the question; should I approach this with any girls I date in the future, and if so, what is the best way to do that. Or, should I just go with it not saying anything and use protection?
