So I don't know a whole deal about TRP, but this sub is for theory clarification which I believe this post classifies as.

I consider myself an individualist in the pure Ayn Rand philosophical sense. I don't have many friends because of it, but I wouldn't want friends I suck up to (or who suck up to me) anyways. I'm in school and like many others my age, am struggling to find my identity in regards to my place in the world. I've felt that this sub has a "put yourself first" kind of attitude which I find laudable. So as someone not intimately familiar with TRP, my question is, what exactly is TRP philosophy on what a modern man should be in all aspects of his life (specifically romance and sex)? Should he look to these things for happiness, or is happiness more so an inner state of mind?
