The general advice I hear on TRP is to always maintain frame and not to get angry in the face of disrespectful behavior. I always hear to ignore disrespectful/bitchy behavior from girls and aggressive behavior from guys. But it doesn't make sense to me, as a recovering beta and friends with lots of other beta guys the go to response is to either apologize, ignore it or try to use humor. I feel like the 'alpha' or at least the right thing to do is to let shitty people have it and not to back down. I will try a few examples:

  1. Guy is publicly being aggressive to you, verbally and even perhaps implying physical aggressiveness. I just can't see how ignoring it or using humor is the right move in this case. You have to be aggressive back right?

  2. Girl is being disrespectful to you in a social group. How can you ignore it or be funny when the words and tone are pretty serious and not at all light hearted. I feel the correct response is to put her back in her place.
