1: What time-frame determines when a man officially enters the "orbiter" category? How soon do you have to fuck a girl to avoid "orbiter" status? (My friend has known a girl for 9 days and so far he has made out with her but nothing beyond that.)

2: What precisely is the logic behind rapid escalation?

3: Do you guys agree that there are SOME percentage of cases where "rapid escalation" will ruin what would otherwise be an awesome score (an awesome lay that would've required a couple days of slower escalation)? If so, do you view this opportunity-cost as worth it? In other words, it will screw you over in SOME percentage of cases, but in the BIG picture being a man who rapidly escalates will be a good thing, so you need to cultivate that killer instinct 24/7/365, despite the opportunity-costs whereby it will sabotage you some of the time?

4: My friend thinks that rapid escalation actually sabotaged him in the story below. What do you guys think about the story?

One night I was hitting it off with this chick and we started intensely making out at the bars.

I asked her if she wanted to come back to my place and watch a movie; she said, "Not right now; I’m here with my cousin."

I kept talking to her, spent the rest of the night with her, and would periodically make out with her.

At the end of the night, we walked out, and she walked home with her cousin and said, “Alright; see you later; I’ll text you."

She never texted me.

There are two errors that I think I made.

First: I tried to pull her home too soon. (If I waited until later in the night to make the move, she might've been more receptive, because she would've been leaving anyway.)

Second: I spent too much time around her throughout the night. (This made me seem thirsty/needy; I should've hung out with my friends more, backed off, let her hang out with her cousin more, and then made my move at the end of the night.)
