It's been overblown to death as the "mancave", but you can create your own in a pinch wherever you go.
Just be alone. There are two types of alone; physical (nobody around) and social (nobody you know around). I prefer the 2nd, but you'll work out your preferences. You can also zone out completely from the world around you, but that comes with other problems, and you might find it hard to do so in the heat of the moment.
I generally tend to just sit down doing something mindless (eating, coffee, a beer, smoking if it's your thing) and then just stare at one point and just drift off with my thoughts. I'll start by clearing out small immediate concerns in my head that I can address - what am I going to eat for dinner, plan time after work to pick up groceries and cook, do I need to do some washing etc. Small easy stuff.
My thoughts, as they do, inevitably drift off to why you're here where you are - and you can re-approach the problem analytically, and dissect it up for easier processing. It's easy for me to then start thinking about a course of action to rectify any issues that crop up. This is essentially meditation.
Those coffee breaks in corporate? They exist for a reason - they serve either as a networking exercise as well as a respite to clear one's mind as well as invigorate the body again.
Hopefully you get something out of this.

It's helped me a lot.
In book form, Buddha in blue jeans is an affordable and easy read.
If you have an audible account, the Great Lectures series on meditation by dr. Mark muesse, Practicing Mindfulness is an outstanding audiobook.
