I saw a post the other day on this sub that asked "Is silence a valid answer to shit tests?" I didn't think I would have to ask a question about STFU, it seems pretty self-explanatory, but the comments to this post got me thinking that my understanding may be lacking.

Personally, I find that it is. Not the best way to handle a shit test, but it is still a way pass. A number of comments disagreed. One even said that silence is failing a shit test and should only be used over text, not face-to-face.

My question is, isn't this what STFU is? Is it not a valid way to handle shit tests? I typically use it when I'm not quick enough to come up with an A&A response and it seems to work for me.

Example: girl asks "What are you doing?" with a tone that implies I don't know what I'm doing. I just ignore her and continue.

When a girl wants to argue about something, I will say what I have to say (succinctly) and will ignore any further questions.

Is this proper implementation of STFU? Is silence a valid answer to shit tests?
