Recently entered an exclusive relationship with this hb8 from the gym. She has a lot of orbiters, which is whatever. Do I like it? No but I know better than to ever show anything other than a stoic indifference about it. If she wanted them, she would be with them.
I have no reason not to trust her. She has proven, thus far, to be loyal and responsible. There is this one guy who she is/was friends with who is in a relationship with someone else. She thought nothing of it, she knew he liked her but basically claimed that she was assertive with the fact that they are just friends. A few days before her and I started talking, he tried to kiss her. She claimed she pushed him away and shut it down. Since her and I have started talking she has been distant with him.
So this is where my question comes. Is it beta behaviour for me to establish boundaries here to avoid future issues like this?
She has been good about not hanging out with this guy since her and I started doing our thing. But I basically want to say I don't care if you have guy friends, but if they make a move on you, or if they do anything that shows they have romantic/sexual feelings, I want you to be clear that it won't fly and I want you to burn the bridge. Be civil with them if you see them, but no hanging out alone, no texting them etc.
To me if something happens and she keeps them around in any capacity it is disrespectful to me. It basically says she passively encourages the behaviour.
I know if a girl wants to cheat, no matter what you say or do, she will. I would just feel better if I could squash that shit before it happened.
