A girl I'm interested in keeps making jokes that me and some dude are a couple/soulmates etc. We aren't even close friends, he's just a mutual friend between us and I have to tolerate him for studying purposes.

After all 3 of us were studying pretty late he and I decided to get food and I invited her. She made another comment about us being a couple and acted like she was about to flake so we assumed she wasn't down. Randomly we get there and she's there.

She kept making jokes about it and it got pretty annoying because most of what she considers our bromance is him talking about random shit and me humoring him.

Is this is a shit test or her projecting or nothing? How should I react?

I want to say something to her alluding to the reality (I don't even like him why don't we go get food/coffee/etc) but I can't think of anything that doesn't sound like a middle school girl.
