I made a post about this the other day, my ex basically told one of my plates bad stuff about me, and me knowing female nature, I neglected all of the accusations because I know that girls are not the best when it comes to judgements, and I neglected it to the point where I claimed that I had no idea who she was (my ex) because I knew that she couldn’t give proof of me and her together.

Problem is my ex is her best friend, so she sided with her bestie.

My issue is that I kind of ended it in a cold manner by completely letting her walk away, And to make matters worse, i did this in front of my ex, which probably made her feel worse. Perhaps I could have salvaged it because it was a rare case that caused her to break up with me, this was way out of my control.

My question is, should I text her back something along the lines of “hey I understand that you had to side with your best friend, we rarely know each other, and I promise you I have no idea who she is, so if you change your mind, feel free to hit me up. Wish you the best”

All of this happened 2 days ago.
