I was doing job applications at a coffee shop and this lady and her boyfriend i'm guessing came outside to where I was. Things seemed weird immediately cause dude started asking what I do for work and stuff creepily, saying he knows a place I can work etc. Long story short the girlfriend asked me a question and guy started speaking very sternly to her with a raised voice not to speak to someone he's speaking to and basically threatening to kick her out saying he gives her a place to live etc. Eventually they left, but i felt like I should have been like "dude dont talk to her like that in front of me" or something like that.

I'm in my early 20s and they both looked to be about 40. In my head i'm thinking she's not gonna leave him based on what I say and dude is so loose tempered i'm not tryna get into something I don't need to be a part of. I just stopped talking really and answering stuff until they left. Just a fucked up situation all around and idk if I handled it in the best way with my current resources in life by leaving myself out of it.
