Hi TRP,
I'm in need of some dating advice, but didn't want to post this to dating_advice because I'm concerned it may get removed (and get me banned) due to the mild TRP content.
Whenever I meet women (or really, anybody, for that matter), one of their first questions is always invariably "What is your job"? What is the optimal way of approaching this?
Currently, I try my best to avoid answering, because I have a very high paying job that also is considered prestigious by some. My fear is that if a gold-digging/status-seeking woman gets wind of this, she may give off some IOIs and pursue a relationship. Since she would learn this soon after meeting me for the first time, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between her normal demeanor and beta-provider-seeking behavior.
I am aware that most of you would consider this a non-issue, since these women could just be plated instead, but unfortunately I'm in the market for a serious relationship based on love, trust, and mutual respect. Call me idealistic, but I do think it may still be possible to find such a thing. The first step would obviously be to filter out gold diggers. I live in an average apartment, drive an average car, and generally not very flashy or materialistic by personality, so the rest of that is no problem.
