I'll try to keep this short & sweet. Cold approached a very dressed up woman on the street yesterday. Turns out she was Russian, on her way to an art show that was in the same office building i work in. Definitely a good connection. Got her #, she actually invited me to the art show but i didn't want to appear clingy and had some work to do so i declined and said i needed to get back to the office. She was surprised i was working on a Friday night but i told her my company is a hard-working culture

I texted her later that it was nice meeting her, she replied 1/2 hour later and asked if i was done at work. I replied 'i'm on to my second job,' expecting her to ask what that was and then i was going to tell her i was batman. Yeah i know that's stupid, sometime i get too cute/clever over text. She never responded to that

Questions:

  • Was my opener week - "it was nice to meet you" sounds a bit niceguy, not cocky/funny/intriguing. but it was genuine
  • Should i have gone to the art thing with her? I'm comfortable interacting w/total strangers and i dig art (it was one of the things we talked about) but i didn't want to appear clingy. I think i should have gone
  • Her asking if i was done with work - would this have been an opportunity to call her and see what she was up to and try to hang?
  • Was her not responding a sign of low interest or maybe she found someone else to hang w/last night? Obviously speculation here
  • What's the best path forward to get her out w/me this upcoming week?

Thanks
