Source: I once walked in on a friend hanging from his barracks room ceiling. Everyone thought the dude was happy as shit, was banging a sweet little hottie on the regular, had a promising career in the Infantry, then one morning before PT bam, hung himself in his room. The ones that are not seeking attention do not fuck around.

I agree with you that the ones that are attention seeking do not fuck around. I've seen it myself. However, that said, please do not post anything that encourages people to break the law.

Yo do not take this advice straight away, this is dangerous. Her behaviour could very well be due to borderline personality disorder, main symptom is fear of being abandoned and doing anything and everything to not be abandoned. You need to tactically question your friend about this situation to deduct sound logic about why she is threatening him with this probably false threat.

BPD don't threaten this sort of thing. They are outwardly violent, and narcissistic in behavior. Mostly passive aggressive controlling and gas-lighting.

If she is threatening suicide in a casual manner like this, it's attention seeking.

Actually, as someone diagnosed with BPD I'll say this

AFAIK people with BPD rarely threaten suicide BUT when they do, they are more likely than most to go through with their 'threat' and usually succeed, which is why it's considered 'clinically significant' when someone with BPD even mentions suicide, not even re: themselves!

No, I wish I raced, I did a little motoX back in the day and have ridden on the roads most of my life ecept I don't have a bike now, but I was only thinking the other day that I might see if my business partner is up to do this local race called the Targa Tasmania next year -- it's all classes and catergories ... idk what I'd drive? I have raced in the past. Drag, road course, and some rally.

I have noticed that more masculine men tend to be into things like racing and working with machines in a competitive fashion like that. Hobbies that mix physicality with knowledge tend to be straight up the Dark Triad's alley. Andretti was a lady killer, as was Senna. Both were straight up cool customers on the track as well.

Currently working on building up a '13 Civic Si for weekend track duty.

I loved working on bikes and cars for a long time, I still do I just don't have time for it and newer cars and bikes are out of my league (and need special tools etc)

I was very DT without knowing it! lol --- only in hindsight. I used to wonder why all these chicks loved me! haha! It's one of the few things I look back with a twinge of regret about -- not knowing all these chicks were DTF me, but I beta'd out many times before I sigma'd my way in!

Never dragged for real, I think a Tesla's the fastest thing I've been in

Yup. Lived with a BPD woman for years (undiagnosed, of course, because she would lie to therapists and refuse treatment). There are no suicide threats with BPD. It's bone-chillingly sociopathic.
