How does one make a tone clear when texting?
For examples, I was chatting with a Tinder match, after a little talk, I asked her:
"What do you do?"
She said:
"No job or uni, just play video games."
(this is pretty much a deal breaker for me by itself, for I cannot respect that lifestyle, but I wanted to see how far I could take this anyway)
I said: "Thought my bio said 'Fun girls only'". (my bio says that)
I expected her to say "I'm fun!" and start explaining why, then I could have said "you'll have to prove it on a date" or something similar. Instead she unmatched me immediately.
If my 'tone' came across as playful, this would have been fine. She must have misinterpreted that as "Piss off you're not good enough". I had been teasing her earlier, so I thought I was on track.
Maybe some girls are just really self-conscious/uptight?
