Imagine if you could skydive without a Parachute and not die when hitting the ground.

That's as believable as marriage whithout finantial repercussions.

Can you marry? Yes, go ahead, it's your life, if you want to throw it away I will not stop you. However, when you say that marriage will not have Financial repercussions you are lying, because it does, right now I pay 30% of my income to my ex-wife because it does.

Think about what marriage involves:

- Cohabitation

- Sharing of financial liabilities

- Maintaining the lifestyle of both parties, regardless of the effort put in by each of them

- Financial consequences when the marriage is dissolved, which are not entirely within the control of the parties involved. The courts have the last say. So the financial commitment is very vague. It is a gamble.

- Monogamy

All of these things restrict your freedom to choose what you want to do with your life. There is a huge opportunity cost to marriage.

When you are feeling in love, getting regular sex and have just cut your accommodation expenses and bills by moving in together, it seems like a great deal.

It is only a few years later that the reality kicks in. Diminishing sex in quantity and quality. Financial obligations, working for the lifestyle she wants. Less and less time for hobbies, education and exercise. Losing control of who you befriend. Shrinking free time in which to self-realise. Expectations of in-laws.

If the other party does not hold up her side of the deal, you are left with very little room for manoeuvre. If you move out you leave yourself open to divorce and a worse financial settlement.

The whole point of marriage is to tie two people together. You can only understand how restrictive that is if you have actually done it.

You certainly can be happy in marriage. But even the happiest couples could be happier living separately.

Even having kids is a poor argument for marriage. People were having kids before marriage existed. There are literally no studies that prove that marriage is a better environment in which to raise children. All they show is that in societies in which marriage is the approved, acceptable way to have children, poor/bad parents are less likely to be married. It is correlation not causation.

Every single benefit that marriage has can be gained without marriage and without the downsides of marriage.

Because people want what they can't have, once you are married, they already hooked you in, it's like an animal that traps its victim, kill it and then play with the dead body for amusement

is it not commitment if the person has been brought up in a strong family value, marriage conservative household?

WTF, woman in the whole world are bombarded 24/7 with feminist propaganda, they spend more time on netflix than talking with family, netflix is their family, just watch any netflix show and you'll understand how the modern females think.
