I noticed one of the girls on the bus today in which I was standing close to her due to the bus being full, and I noticed some things about her body language:
- She would look towards my area/at me at times in which I would then look down at her and she would do a little smile while overall being jittery
- In the moment, I took this as her being nervous around me as she was attracted
- She was moving a bit as if she was uncomfortable in which I'm not sure if it was because of me being near her and maybe she found me attractive, or because of the people sitting next to her?
- Also, I just feel as if something is off about her; I don't know what it is-- there is just this look in her eyes so to say
- I don't know if I misread her attraction to me or her being uncomfortable, but I can be wrong as far as that; she may just be a "weird" person in which I say this due to her movements and what not while sitting between the two people or she may have just been uncomfortable
When she got off the bus, she walked super fast to an area in which once I was finally able to catch up with her, she was on her phone to which I approached her and said something along the lines of:
Hey, what's your name? (She didn't answer completely "friendly")
Asked her if she's from around here (She seems like she isn't)
Do you have a class right now? (She answered)
I asked which class (She said the class but as she said it, she walked away a bit in which I just said my goodbye's and left)
Some pointers I took from this interaction:
- I didn't giver her my name/introduce myself
- I know I could have asked better questions/approach differently; I just don't know what I would do differently as I was just really winging it
- What I'm saying is that I understand there isn't a "black/white" approach, but I believe that there is at least some ground that is typical across interactions that can be conversation starters; things such as hair, clothing, etc.-- these are the easier things so to say, whereas some girls may not really have anything specific going on in which I'm asking on some things to use/say to strike up a conversation
- I maybe approached her in a weird situation where felt uncomfortable
Or, she either didn't find me attractive to which she didn't want to speak to me, or she is just "weird" in the head; and I say that because of her mannerisms, not because she wasn't really receptive to the conversation
I understand that you can't get them all and I will be approaching more girls-- I'm asking for some insight and tips on where to go from here
Thoughts?
