I've been going on some first dates lately.. It has been a while since I've been single. I think I messed up some shit tests. How would you handle these?

I called a girl an alcoholic as a joke. She reacted very strangely and negatively. Was calling her an alcoholic the mistake or was it that I was fumbling nervously trying not to apologize after she got upset?

I was walking with a (different) girl around 9PM. There wasn't a lot of people around except one thuggie black guy walking in front of us slowly. She seemed nervous and mumbled something. I was totally unphased, but I directed us across the street away from him when I realized it made her uncomfortable walking so close to this guy.

That second girl also quizzed me about the last couple blind dates I went on. I didn't know what to say, so I was honest. The problem was, I left both of the last dates early because the first girl was ugly and the second was psycho. In retrospect, I should have left it a mystery for her. I think.
