I'm guessing because girls have 1000s of matches, they just swipe blindly now and see out of the swipes who is the "top" 10 percent and go from there?
Not exactly. It's more like they choose and don't swipe blindly (I'll do that by the way and I'll ort out the matches later then), but they are a little bit generous. Then if they get it going with somebody they percieve to be better, they'll focus on that person.

If they have an Instagram account attached, Snapchat, etc and they don't respond in 72 hours I believe they're generally looking for followers and not dates.... I've glanced at some girl's Instragram pictures once and notice they even had apparent boyfriends.

Oh yeah. I thought they maybe put up their information so you can contact directly but in my experience 90% of them are about getting followers and bragging to friends/ad sponsors how many they have.

Yeah its funny, Im almost done my post-grad, could not imagine a life where I am that glued to social media it's disgusting lol.

I open with something in their pic, or a small appropriate dag that works in person (maybe that's the problem) a "hey" and an "hah I knew we would match"
My photos are decent - shot mid section up with my work gear (scrubs and stethoscope) then pics with attractive girls hanging out casually and one Rock climbing.
Need better quality photos I think maybe more full body with muscles popping

Wait, so you're going to give up after only messaging 8 matches on tinder?
Collect your matches over the course of each week and then message all of them Sunday afternoon/evening (when girls are just sitting around playing on insta). I guarantee some will respond.
Tinder is a numbers game, man. And there is a certain amount of RANDOMNESS involved.
