Not in my teens but I travelled in my early 20s while at university (during summer break).

It's pretty easy to do things cheap. Visit cheap countries, stay in cheap airbnbs, book flights a long time in advance and pick the cheapest ones even if timings are bad.

Edit: also at 18 you will be able to drink in a lot of places, but it's probably better to practice your game sober.

I guess you could go around Europe hostels, do bus tours during the day and pub crawls during the night and whatever else that country offers. $3000 should last you a few countries but I don't know the math.

I traveled throughout my late teens and through my 20ies. Now living as a digital nomad and not looking to stop. What good is a life spent in only one place? Southeast Asia is wonderful and you will get local and international pussy. Stay in hostels! China and India will change your perspective. Get a blowjob at a bus stop in Brazil.
