I am amazing with kids(3-12yrs old). I love playing with them/teaching them/ showing them the world like a parent/uncle. At the same time, kids gravitate towards me. It's been like this since I was a teenager: for some reason, kids love me.

However, I don't ever want to get married and don't want the hassle and cost of raising a kid/family. It's a lot of financial and time investment and kinda kills my freedom to pursue desires as an individual. I also don't want to do the shitty parts of raising a kid.

Has anyone been through the same dilemma? Anyone here lives like the proverbial cool uncle and gets to mentor kids without raising them.Pls share your stories!
