I began reading TRP three months ago and decided to turn my life around. I was a bluepill guy who did not particularly have trouble with women but I was definitely showing heavy signs of being the Nice Guy and it made me sick (mainly because I felt like I was just spinning my wheels).
Now that I have been reading through the tons of material recommended both here and on the PUA subreddits, I have been slowly changing my ways of thinking and how I interacted with people.
But this has led to some unexpected results. I have become annoyed with several of my friends and gotten much more actively hostile toward them because I no longer put up with their shit. While I do not care to lose some of them as my friends, I feel that maybe my thoughts are no longer compatible with my friend circle. I am starting to worry maybe I am overdoing it and am becoming a huge asshole in a large swing to the opposite side of the spectrum from where I was before.
I am not interested in being an asshole. There is a difference between being a confident, driven and assertive individual and a guy who is a dick to everyone (because nobody likes that guy), and I don't want to be that guy.
Is this a typical effect of a bluepiller trying to become redpill? I don't want to quit working on myself, but I am wondering if there is not some better way for me to do so.
I find myself wishing I could somehow take a trip to a different state or country and just stay there for a year, working on myself where people do not know me and then coming back as a redefined person, but as a college student I cannot afford that luxury just yet.
