my lame story: Girl breaks up with me I keep it short but still said some dumb shit before walking her out (like asking if there was anything between her and her guy friend).

Was good for 3.5 months of zero contact despite 1-2 breadcrumbs. Then I decided to text her to "make amends" at the advice of my new therapist (who was a woman and who now is fired). Met up, gave her a speech about how I know I "turned off/ stopped trying" in the relationship and generally was acting super weak and apologetic.

I left it at making amends and thankfully never asked for her back (although I acted super obsequious).

I ended the meeting and she said she needed to go to the bathroom and asked if i wanted to wait for her so we can walk to the subway together. An hour later she texted me saying she feels a lot better about how it ended.

I am still ruminating over my fucked ups and angry at how I could have so obviously fucked up.....the side bar is right there>>>

I keep ruminating over how weak I looked. I told her I got a therapist and an undergrad in psychology in the last 3 months (not literally but as a joke). Thankfully I never cried (or even came close), asked for her back, or asked about her dating life etc. But damn I feel weak and stupid af.

Frankly, the only thing that helps is reading other posts of guys acting way worse than I did and realizing that we all fuck up.
