Start a part time clean-out business in the evenings and on weekends. Post about it on Craigslist. You can make $25 an hour doing basement, garage, attic clean-outs for people. Most of it will involve some heavy lifting and some repetitive lower weight cardio lifting.

I know a few guys who do this and actually make more money than their normal jobs because they'll get tons of repeat business and referrals and can slowly increase their fees. One guy bought a pickup truck and hauls away the scrap from a clean-out, so he might make $150 for 3-4 hours of clean-out and then an extra $100+ from scrapping.

2nd shift on a construction site. One that will have you doing the heavier gruntier work. Masonry, wood framing, mixing cement, demolition.

You will grow tired of this quite fast FYI. You can't really do a job for the physical fitness aspect because you will always as an employee be micromanaged and directed in a way that will turn profit for them, not physical fitness for you.

Any kind of intense manual labor would work, however FYI you will not get the same results as the gym. You will become leaner, your muscles may take on a certain "hardness", your core strength will develop, and you will become better balanced and more nimble, bit you will NOT get the size and sculpted mass you will get from the gym.

The end result will be, your muscles and back will be sore, you'll have some extra cash, and you'll develop a bit o' what we call "old man strength", but you will NOT look like a guy who lifts or goes to the gym unless you already look so through natural genetics.

After sometime your body will get used to it and you will not experience any gains from the work as far as size or strength go. It will just help you to keep some fat off, if you eat properly.

IMHO this is a stupid idea. Goto the gym and bodybuild. If you want to make money grunting find a small construction company that will let you pick up weekend work.

Why does it matter if the job is shit pay? Your goal is merely to turn a net zero into a net positive.

The more physical a job is, the more likely it'll pay poorly.

If you're looking for a physically challenging job to replace lifting, I recommend trying construction or transportation worker.

I did both. Really good for overall strength.
