Look around at a few small / less exciting towns as well. Working for mom and pops can be rough, but it's a job, and gets experience you can leverage later on.

Try starting an upwork or peopleperhour account. Get your LinkedIn on point. Here's the very basic formula: work for cheap (or free), do a good job and get reputation (reputation on these sites is literally a score, in real life, reputation matters just as much but is more abstractly measured). Prove that you can do a good job then jack your rates to what you deserve. When I was freelancing, I wrote 10 content articles for dirt cheap ($10 each), for articles that were well researched and 1500-2000 words in length. I got the reviews I needed to boost my hourly to $45 and started getting boosted by Upwork and getting personal invites for all sorts of random ass jobs (ghostwriting, voice acting for an audio book, sales and customer service).

If you got post-grad accounting/finance skills and prove it, people will want you.

Consider reading anything (everything) by Seth Godin and Grant Cardone. Both those men saved my life by changing the way I thought about myself and my relationship to the economy.

Figure out how to give more and you will get what you want.
