I ran into an old acquaintance (female), we exchanged numbers and she keeps hitting me up to hangout and catch up. Knew her in a different town about 6 years ago and now lives where I live.

Problem is that I am in an exclusive relationship with an amazing girl. I do not want a relationship or an interested in anything other than a strictly platonic relationship with my acquaintance. I ignored acquaintance first text, but she has been persistent and I told her I’d hit her up one of these times I’m out to catch up. She texted me again for lunch or dinner so I feel like she might be pursuing.

I wouldn’t mind catching up with acquaintance but will not meet with her without my girl, as this is what I would expect from my LTR if this came up with her.

I don’t want to create any un necessary drama but I don’t want to be a total dick to my acquaintance and just ghost her. My friend suggested telling my LTR and seeing if LTR wanted to grab a beer with me an my acquaintance, which seemed reasonable enough to me.

Any thoughts on how to handle this appropriately?
