Sometimes I get a match on a dating site and then a day or so later she unmatches me before we even talk.

This usually happens with very attractive women (HB8+).

I am usually slow to respond to matches. My best read of the random un-match is that these are women who use dating sites for attention / validation. If you don't immediately respond to a match with "OMG thank you for matching me you are so beautiful" they feel invalidated / angry and unmatch.

Does anyone have a better explanation for this? Has anyone spoken to a women who talks about why they do this?
